In 2005, the request for establishing the Anesthesiology Research Center was submitted to the then University Chancellor and it became fruitful in 2009, which resulted in the Center beginning its mission with the collaboration of numerous skillful and expert academics in the field.
The mission of the Anesthesiology Research Center includes, among others, production and generation of knowledge by designing and performing scientific, fundamental, and applied researches in fields related to anesthesiology through close and friendly collaborations with all national and international research institutes and academic circles so it may be able to enhance the quality in anesthesiology, which would in turn enhance better lives for all Iranian citizens.
The Center renders its efforts through:

Conducting research in anesthesiology, pain, and ICU;

Introducing the importance of the concepts of anesthesiology, pain, and ICU;

Recognizing and promoting research initiatives;

Preparing the grounds for the application of researches in anesthesiology, pain, and ICU;

Providing necessary evidence for policy making in anesthesiology, pain, and ICU;

Suggesting policies and strategies for health promotion related to anesthesiology, pain, and ICU;

Determining standards as well as regulations related to anesthesiology, pain, and ICU;

Contributing in rendering the health achievements in anesthesiology, pain, and ICU;

Training the academic experts in anesthesiology, pain, and ICU;
